Medical Records Technician/Coder

We have a full time, benefited position available, Monday through Friday, day shift. Some of the position responsibilities are as follows: Assembles, evaluates and scans medical records; Reviews, analyze, scans and files emergency room, outpatient and inpatient records; processes and distributes admission and discharge data; prepares birth certificates according to hospital and state requirements. Codes emergency room, outpatient, ambulatory surgery and inpatient charts using ICD-10-CM, CPT and hospital guideline. Our ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: Certified Coding Certificate is preferred, however we are willing to consider applicants with a strong work ethic who is willing to be trained on the job; knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding is preferred, but not required; knowledge of alphabetic and terminal digit filing systems; knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology; High School Diploma or equivalent required; minimum of one year medical billing experience strongly preferred; minimum of one year of office or hospital clerical experience strongly preferred; intermediate computer skills required. The wage range is $25-27/hour DOE, plus benefits.
