What are the responsibilities and job description for the Courier Driver position at MOUNTAIN CARE PHARMACY?

Purpose: Represent Mountain Care Pharmacy in a professional manner, you are the face of the company! Make deliveries following mapped routes and time schedules, according to Delivery Procedures.
Experience/Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid State issued Driver’s License and a copy of your clean driving record (NO DUI convictions, and no more than 3 point in the last 3 years).
Essential Functions:
- Follow mapped out routes and time schedules.
- Must be comfortable and capable using Tablet, GPS, and maps.
- Must be comfortable and capable of driving at night and in inclement weather conditions.
- Know and follow our General Driver Policy and Delivery Procedures.
- Complete driving logs, return logs, and reports with every shift.
- Maintain a clean driving record and report any violations to your Supervisor within 24 hours.
- Read and follow any specific “Notes” per delivery.
- Follow policies exactly regarding deliveries that you are unable to deliver for any reason.
- Must be able to communicate and be reached via text.
- Cleaning, inspection, and general maintenance of cars on an ongoing basis
- Cleaning tasks including dust, sweep, mop lobby and cleaning bathroom when needed.
- Must have great customer service skills to help promote the accuracy and dependability of Mountain Care Pharmacy as well as ensuring our customers have a positive experience.
- Offer flexibility in scheduling including taking on-call shifts regularly.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit in a car and walk to deliveries for up to 10 hours.
- Must be able to lift and push or pull up to 50lbs.
Other skills and abilities include:
- Pass a drug test and Criminal Background Check.
- Maintain information confidentiality.
Hours:
Our normal delivery runs go out twice a day, the noon run leaves the pharmacy at roughly 12:30pm and the evening run leaves the pharmacy at roughly 5:30pm. These routes can be anywhere from 2-5 hours or more depending on amount of deliveries. The On-Call shift is on call 24 hours a day to deliver STAT and emergency after-hours deliveries, these shifts are in 24 hour increments.
Schedules are made based on availability, desired number of days, hours, and how many runs you would like to work. All applicants must be willing to work evenings and on-call.
Applicants must live within 20-25 minutes of business location to provide optimal ON-Call services. If you live further out, accommodations can be made.
