The Rental Supervisor ensures the department is providing top-notch customer service to guests renting gear. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the rental department in coordination with the department manager, with an emphasis on teamwork and successful daily team operations.
- Effectively supervise and support the rental team members with an on-the-floor and hands-on approach.
- Successfully perform duties at all stations, including teching, tuning, scanning, and boot room.
- Successfully perform opening and closing procedures in the rental department, including signage, stanchions, cleaning, etc.
- Assist with the monthly and start/end of season rental and demo inventory counting.
- Assist with the creation, maintenance, and modification of a department schedule.
- Help execute winter training plans for teching equipment, equipment usage, tech station, general resort knowledge, and providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with the oversight of departmental administrative tasks including inventory control, and cost control.
- Assist with tune shop duties, including tunes, waxes, and binding mounting.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of ski and snowboarding binding setup.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and co-workers.
- Ability to read, understand, and comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- At least one year of experience in an outdoor equipment rental shop is required.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership or team-building role is preferred.
- Must be available to work at least 4 days per week, including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to get certified in proper helmet fitting and safety, SDS Certification, Training in proper boot fitting, Certifications through ski binding manufacturers.
