Rental Lead

Purpose of the position:

The Rental Supervisor supports all daily shop operations, oversees personnel, and manages rental inventory. Key objectives include optimizing procedures to increase staff efficiency and enhancing the overall guest experience. By demonstrating consistent training, constructive feedback, and leadership by example, the supervisor utilizes energy and enthusiasm to motivate the team.

Essential Functions:

• Promote the Snowbowl Culture through example by providing great customer service, challenging yourself and others to be better, and being there for the team
• Responsible for opening and closing the rental shop on a daily basis
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust the schedule as needed in alignment with business levels
• Supervise employees in all daily operations to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed 
• Assist with employee payroll and fix any time punch issues 
• Work with manager hiring and training employees
• Maintain all employee documents, records, and certifications in an orderly manner 
• Provide clear and detailed expectations to employees on a daily basis 
• Motivate team to provide excellent customer service while working at a fast pace 
• Keep employees on task and busy during slow times 
• Manage the majority of customer inquiries and complaints, escalating to the Manager or Guest Services for additional assistance as needed.
• Work closely with Guest Services and Ski School to ensure the best customer service and relaying proper information with individual guests, programs, and groups 
• Manage most employee questions or concerns on a daily basis 
• Answer all guest and employee emails in a timely manner 
• Provide advice on, but not responsible for, department budget and inventory rotations
• In charge of beginning and ending season rental and monthly demo inventory 
• Assist manager in completing midseason reviews for all employees 
• Must also uphold the rental technician job description 
• Any other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned for the success of the company wide operations 

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:

• Certification of proper helmet fitting and safety (Provided by Manager) 
• SDS Certification (Provided by Manager)
• Training in proper boot fitting (Provided by Manager)
• Certifications through ski binding manufacturers (Provided by Manager)
• Must attend all in shop clinics (trainings) hosted by manager
  - Supervisor will assist manager in hosting trainings for rental technicians 

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Thrives in a fast paced and often changing environment
• Lifting 25 pounds 
• Cleaning/maintaining lodge and department areas
• Shoveling snow as required

Competencies Required:

• Previous experience in a leadership position (preferably 10 people)
• Must have good leadership skills and communication skills 
• Reliable and punctual 
• Ability to provide excellent customer service under pressure 
• Experience in Google Workspace is preferred  
• Must work at a fast pace and complete tasks in timely manner  
• Attention to detail and organization of the rental shop
