On Mountain Janitor
General Purpose:
Service and maintain all on mountain restroom and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and neatness. Maintain clean, safe and functional public restroom facilities throughout the on-mountain facilities including, but not limited to: Powderhouse, Top of lift 3 comfort station and Dante’s restrooms. Assist in snow removal when needed and trash removal, cleanliness of dining areas in restaurants. This is a seasonal position from 1/10/26 to 4/5/26. Job Posting Deadline: Hiring for our seasonal positions occurs on a rolling basis. This position will remain open until filled.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean public restrooms
- Monitor & maintain toiletries and hygiene products
- Remove trash and dispose of waste
- Sweep and mop floors as necessary
- Report any problems to immediate supervisor
- Report all potential safety hazards to immediate supervisor
- Help with general cleanliness in Powderhouse and Dante’s dining areas
- Light maintenance in facilities
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Facility Cleaning & Sanitation – Thorough cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms, dining areas, and high-traffic public spaces
- Ski Skill Level –Must be able to ski/snowboard intermediate to expert level runs.
- Snow & Ski Area Awareness – Ability to work safely in snowy, icy, and cold mountain conditions
- Time Management – Efficiently prioritizing cleaning tasks during peak guest hours
- Attention to Detail – Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Light Maintenance Skills – Performing minor repairs such as fixing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and basic troubleshooting
- Use of Cleaning Equipment & Chemicals – Safe operation of cleaning tools and proper handling of cleaning supplies
- Safety & Hazard Awareness – Identifying and reporting hazards such as wet floors, broken fixtures, or icy walkways
- Physical Stamina – Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work on feet for extended periods
- Customer Service Mindset – Maintaining a professional and courteous presence around guests
- Teamwork & Communication – Coordinating with maintenance staff, supervisors, and other resort employees
- Reliability & Work Ethic – Dependable attendance in early mornings
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods in indoor and outdoor environments
- Regular bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting while cleaning restrooms and dining areas
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 30–50 pounds
- Perform snow removal duties, including shoveling and clearing snow and ice from decks, stairs, walkways, and entrances
- Work safely on wet, icy, or uneven surfaces while maintaining balance and awareness
- Tolerate cold temperatures, wind, and changing mountain weather conditions
- Push, pull, and maneuver cleaning carts, trash bins, and snow removal tools
- Perform repetitive motions using hands and arms for cleaning and maintenance task
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate multi-level facilities throughout a shift
Salary : $20 - $22
