Mountain Alarm, a Pye-Barker Fire & Safety company, is hiring a Collections Representative in our Ogden, Utah location. This position will support our Western Region locations.
Position Summary: Our Collections Representatives are responsible for monitoring accounts to identify overdue payments. Find and contact debtors to arrange payoffs on accounts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to keep accurate records and report on collection activity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound / outbound collection phone calls
- Negotiate payment plans with commercial and residential customers
- Write letters, compose emails, and mail documents in attempt to collect past due funds
- Respond to correspondence received in an timely matter
- Log all customer correspondence in accounting systems
- Receive and process payments as directed
- Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Maintain positive attitude toward customers
- Interface successfully with other corporate departments
- Other duties as assigned by Collections Manager
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 6 months related experience in a collection environment required
- Ability to work in highly structured setting
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Goal oriented professional with strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional mannerism and phone voice
- Must read and speak English
