What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Proctor (Pool) position at Mount Wachusett Community College?
General Statement of Duties:
The test proctor is expected to provide support to the instructor during the administrations of any computer and paper based exams.
Responsibilities:
- Check students in for testing;
- Check testers' identification prior to administering each test;
- Ensure only authorized materials are at test station;
- Closely monitor the test session for disruptive behavior, cheating or testing irregularities;
- Maintain test environment per test guidelines and student's test accommodation paperwork from Disability Services;
- Arrange testers in test room to ensure proper test environment based upon test guidelines and test accommodations;
- Inform all examinees that they must refrain from using their personal cell phones or other unauthorized devices during testing;
- Direct test takers to their specific seats;
- Distribute and collect test materials to and from each test taker individually;
- Review the room frequently to guard against improper conduct and to ensure that every test taker has sufficient materials to continue testing (scrap paper, etc.); that no test materials are removed or concealed (e.g., writing on the calculator) upon exit of test room.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Basic computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, Internet);
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Adhere to security and confidentiality policies and procedures.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to interact effectively and courteously with test takers, faculty, and other staff;
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree;
- Bilingual (English-Spanish);
- Experience working with adult learner population.

Salary: $15.00 per hour
Hours per Week: up to 18 hours per week- as needed basis
