Job Description Summary:
Position Responsibilities
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the general diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and nursing care of patients.
- Serves as a clinical resource to preceptors, orientees, staff, educators, and students.
- Collaborates with management team in the development of orientation for new employees relevant to their needs as deemed appropriate.
- Serves as consultant to management and staff in nursing and non-nursing departments under the guidance of the Director/Manager.
- Works collaboratively with clinical managers nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel as specified in established policies.
- Collaborates with Manager of Education to design, plan, coordinate, and evaluate formal education programs for specific clinical area based on staff, hospital needs, and age specific criteria. For Nursing and Non-Nursing Clinical departments under the guidance of the Director/Manager.
- Assist in creating unit based and annual competencies for staff in clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Provides in service programs to clinical and non-clinical departments as deemed appropriate.
- Assists the Director/Manager in maintaining updated personnel's HR files to comply with various regulatory requirements.
- License/Registration/Certification
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Florida. BLS and CPI required.
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience
- 2–5 years of experience with Joint Commission and ability to conduct nursing orientation, CPR and CPI
