Journeyman Meat Cutter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on meat cutting and food safety. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meat products for our customers while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality.
• Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring attractive presentation while adhering to food safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selections and answering any questions they may have about the products.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment used in meat preparation.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to minimize risks associated with food handling.

Qualifications

• Strong knife skills with experience in meat cutting techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to meat handling.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all food products prepared.
