Journeyman Baker

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and food preparation, with the ability to create a variety of baked goods that meet our high standards of quality and taste. As a Baker, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring that all products are prepared with precision and care while adhering to food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, breads, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
• Ensure all food production meets quality standards for taste, appearance, and freshness.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, following all food safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
• Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and preparation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Familiarity with pastry creation and decoration is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
