Love Breaking Cards? Maybe You Don't Need to Run a Breaking Business.
If you're already breaking on your own, you know what happens when the stream ends.
The cards don't magically sort themselves.
There are packages to ship. Labels to print. Inventory to buy. Customers to answer. Product to source. Supplies to order. Payments to track. Shows to promote.
And before you ever hit Go Live, you've already put your own money into the product sitting on the table.
That's a lot of work for the part you actually enjoy:
Breaking cards and entertaining collectors.
At Mount Olympus Rips, we're building something different.
We're looking for experienced breakers and serious hobby experts who want to step behind the camera, get paid $50 an hour tips, and focus on putting on an incredible live show.
We'll Build the Operation Around You. You Run the Room.
You don't need to fund tonight's break.
You don't need to turn your basement into a shipping department.
You don't need to spend tomorrow morning sorting hundreds of cards from tonight's stream.
Our team handles the backend operation.
Your job is to be great live.
You'll sit down with incredible sports card product, go live on Whatnot, and create the kind of stream collectors don't want to leave.
That means:
- Hosting high-energy live sports card breaks on Whatnot
- Running PYTs, team breaks, case breaks, hobby boxes, repacks, and personals
- Talking naturally about sports, players, rookies, prospects, products, and the hobby
- Knowing the difference between a decent hit and a stop-everything monster
- Keeping auctions moving while still making the stream entertaining
- Recognizing returning buyers and learning what they collect
- Filling dead time without making it feel like dead time
- Explaining products and hits without sounding like you're reading a checklist
- Making newer collectors feel welcome without boring experienced hobbyists
- Creating moments people clip, share, and remember
- Giving collectors a reason to come back specifically when you're live
If You've Been Doing This Alone, We Want to Talk.
Maybe you already have a Whatnot account.
Maybe you're breaking on TikTok, Fanatics Live, Instagram, YouTube, or another platform.
Maybe you've built your own small following from your basement, spare bedroom, office, or card room.
You learned how to source product.
You learned how to sell spots.
You learned how to keep a live room moving.
You learned how to entertain when there were three people watching and when there were 100.
That experience matters here.
We're not concerned about whether you built the biggest breaking operation in the country.
We're interested in whether you can run a room.
You Still Need to Know the Hobby.
This isn't a generic livestream sales position.
You should be comfortable talking about Topps, Bowman, Panini, Upper Deck, Fanatics, Prizm, Select, Optic, National Treasures, Flawless, Immaculate, Topps Chrome, Bowman Chrome and the products collectors are actually chasing.
Terms like Downtown, Kaboom!, Color Blast, Gold Vinyl, Superfractor, RPA, SSP, case hit, 1st Bowman, Young Guns and 1-of-1 shouldn't require an explanation.
You understand grading through PSA, SGC, CGC and BGS and know how collectors use comps, recent sales, checklists, population reports, and release information.
But hobby knowledge alone isn't enough.
We can put great cards on the table. We need someone people want to watch open them.
Turn Your Side Hustle Into the Part You Actually Wanted.
Keep collecting.
Keep following releases.
Keep chasing cards.
Keep talking sports.
Keep doing the part of breaking that made you start in the first place.
We'll handle the boxes behind the boxes.
If you're currently running your own breaks, have broken professionally, or know you have the hobby knowledge and personality to command a live audience, we want to hear from you.
