Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments in compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, statutes, and regulations
Work in cooperation with the Residential Care Coordinator and other staff members to provide exceptional care to our residents
Maintain accurate and timely records of medication administration and resident care
Implement resident service plans and provide patient-centered care
Participate in shift-to-shift reporting and new staff orientation
Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
Maintain a positive and respectful attitude in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
Current, valid State of Maine department-approved Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) certification
First aid and CPR certification required
Minimum age of 18 years
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Demonstrated genuine interest in working with people with mental illness and exhibits good human relation skills
Ability to maintain valid CRMA certification
Working Conditions:
Frequent standing and walking
May be subject to prolonged standing, twisting, bending, and squatting throughout the day/shift
May be subject to frequent interruptions, emotionally upset persons, injury from falls, burns, dust, odors, chemicals, and exposure to infectious waste and diseases
Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions when assigned or necessary
