Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient AV Sales Engineer to support our Midwest or West Coast territory. The ideal candidate will have proven experience selling to commercial AV integrators, with strong skills in AutoCAD for system design and layout support. Experience with Direct View LED (DvLED) display technologies is highly preferred. This role will work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to drive revenue growth by delivering
technical expertise and pre-sales support.
Responsibilities
- Support the regional sales team by providing technical expertise during the pre-sales
process.
- Work directly with Commercial AV integrators, consultants, and end users to understand
project requirements and develop custom solutions.
- Generate detailed DvLED drawings and layouts using AutoCAD, including elevations,
floor plans, signal flow diagrams, and riser diagrams.
- Conduct on-site surveys and coordinate technical requirements for projects across the
given territory.
- Present and demonstrate AV technologies, with a focus on video display mounting
solutions, during client meetings, trade shows, and training events.
- Collaborate with product management to provide feedback on market needs and product
improvements.
- Assist with the preparation of RFP/RFQ responses, BOMs, and scope of work
documentation.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging AV technologies, and competitive solutions
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in a client-facing role.
- Strong background in selling to or working with commercial AV integrators.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); experience with Revit or other design tools a plus.
- Technical knowledge of video mounting solutions and DvLED display technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex
solutions in a simple, compelling manner.CTS or CTS-D certification preferred.
- Ability to travel across the given region up to 50% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, AV Technology, or related field preferred.
