What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Custodian position at Mount Horeb Area School District?

We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated evening custodian. This is a temporary, benefit-eligible position beginning January 1, 2026, and continuing through the 2025–2026 school year. While the role is scheduled to conclude at the end of the school year, there may be opportunities for continued employment depending on district needs, which will be reviewed in late spring.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
The majority of your day will consist of keeping buildings clean and in an orderly condition. Some tasks may require washing floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls/glass, and removing rubbish. Other duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from the sidewalks during the winter season. Among building maintenance procedures you will also perform other building security and safety tasks such as locking building doors after hours and checking HVAC/ electrical appliances to ensure no hazards are created.
**The position will involve standing and walking for up to 8 hours; bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

To compensate you for the wonderful work you will be performing and support you will be providing, you will receive $21.54 per hour.
