Position Summary
The Compensation & Benefits Supervisor is responsible for the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of the company’s benefits programs, with a strong emphasis on increasing employee awareness, understanding, and participation. This role plays a key part in ensuring benefits are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with workforce needs within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration & Strategy
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of all employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Partner with brokers and vendors to evaluate plan performance, renewals, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Support annual benefits planning and open enrollment processes.
Employee Communication & Engagement (Core Focus)
- Develop and execute communication strategies to effectively promote benefits programs across all employee populations (including hourly/manufacturing workforce).
- Translate complex benefits information into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
- Conduct benefits orientations, workshops, and on-site sessions to drive understanding and utilization.
- Design campaigns to increase participation in key programs (e.g., wellness, retirement savings, preventive care).
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits.
Participation & Experience Improvement
- Analyze participation and utilization data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Implement targeted initiatives to increase enrollment and engagement in underutilized programs.
- Gather employee feedback to enhance the overall benefits experience.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to align benefits offerings with employee needs.
Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor KPIs such as participation rates, employee satisfaction, and cost trends.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership on benefits performance and enhancements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for benefits programs.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, with a strong focus on benefits administration.
- Experience in manufacturing or similar industrial environments preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse employee populations (including non-exempt workforce).
- Proven ability to increase employee participation in benefits programs.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions.
- Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
