Location: Lowell, MA (Onsite – This is not a remote position)

Position Summary
The Staffing Assistant supports recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and workforce scheduling activities. This role works closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to ensure a seamless hiring process while maintaining accurate employee and candidate records. This position is ideal for someone interested in building a career in Talent Acquisition with a growth path toward a Recruiter role.

Key Responsibilities

• Post job openings on job boards, social media, and company websites.
• Review applications and maintain Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
• Assist with reference checks, background screenings, and hiring documentation.
• Support recruitment events, job fairs, and hiring initiatives.
• Maintain employee and candidate records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and workforce tracking.
• Respond to applicant and employee inquiries regarding staffing and employment processes.
• Provide recruitment updates and staffing reports as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• 1–2 years of administrative, staffing, customer service, or office support experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Interest in pursuing a career in Recruiting or Talent Acquisition.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
