Maintenance Assistant Job Responsibilities;
Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed
- Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures and under the direction of the Environmental Services Director
- Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties in high places
- Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping as directed
- Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area and perform unscheduled maintenance tasks, as directed
- Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc. as requested
- Ensure that established Infection Control and Universal Precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required
- Experience in a janitorial or related field required
