Job Overview:
As a Shipping/Warehouse Associate at our optical store, you will be a vital part of our back-of-house operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and packing orders, managing inventory, and preparing shipments for delivery.
Responsibilities:
Receiving & Inventory:
- Receive, and inspect incoming shipments of frames, lenses, and optical supplies.
- Verify purchase orders against packing slips and invoices for accuracy.
- Accurately label, record, and stock received items in their designated warehouse locations.
Order Fulfillment & Processing:
- Pick customer orders from warehouse shelves based on pick tickets or digital orders.
- Carefully inspect each product (frames, lenses, accessories) for defects before packing.
- Securely and efficiently package orders to prevent damage during transit, selecting appropriate box sizes and protective materials.
Quality Control & Communication:
- Identify and report any operational inefficiencies, damaged goods, or potential problems.
- Collaborate with the front-of-store staff and opticians to clarify order details and prioritize urgent requests.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills for order processing.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Pay: $21.84 - $25.87 per hour
