Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest services.
- Take delivery and to orders by the phone.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating to maximize table utilization.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and efficient service flow.
- Answer phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, taking phone orders and reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Support guest relations by addressing guest questions or concerns promptly and courteously.
- Available shifts : Thursday through Sunday dinner shifts
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, including clear phone communication and excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Resy and Clover.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently.
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and billing procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to hospitality environments.
- A positive attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced setting.
- NYC Food Protection Certificate preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
