We are a well-established, AS9100D with ISO9001:2015 Certified company looking for experienced Zeiss Calypso MCC Programmer / Quality Inspector.

Pay for this position is based on experience.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education/Experience)

  • Proficiency in Metrology - inspection using hand tools/ gages (such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, height gages, etc.), optical inspection equipment (i.e. optical comparator).
  • At minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge in Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Able to use desktop computer to generate spreadsheets, presentations, databases and documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Three (3 ) years’ experience in programming and operating CMMs with Calypso software, or other relevant industry experience
  • Working knowledge in AS9100 environment and First Article Inspection (AS9102).
  • Experience with programming Keyence optical CMM.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply various technical data such as prints, specifications and utilize specialized inspection and hand tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment,
  • Solution oriented while committed to consistency and process.
  • Ability to work under minimal direction while keeping within the limitations of designated authorities, exercising regular use of good judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present information, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, technical or non-technical individuals both internal and external to the company.
  • J-STD-001 Inspector Certification

Position Responsibilities - Essential Functions:

  • Perform and document Final, Receiving, In - process and First Article Inspections
  • Inspect, test, or measure components, assemblies or inspect for conformance to specifications and Customer requirements utilizing best method of inspection (CMM and/or manual inspection methods)
  • Creates Non-Conformance reports for customer and internal related issues.
  • Create CMM’s programs utilizing Customer drawings and/or CAD models.
  • Mechanical inspection of products to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
  • Review Customer workmanship standards to determine requirements for inspection.
  • Correlate and record inspection data in required format.
  • Identify items with detail acceptance-rejection status.
  • Coordinate work schedule closely with Machine Shop team to meet Customer deadlines.
  • Compare physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper operational capability.
  • Maintain clean work environment.
  • Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures.
  • Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned**

Physical Requirements

  • Stationary Work – occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force to transport objects, remaining mostly stationary, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces.
  • Daily use of computer, occasional use of microscope for visual inspection.
