Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Parts Specialist to support our busy collision center. This role is responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, and managing automotive parts to ensure timely and accurate repairs. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced nature of a collision repair environment and plays a key role in keeping production moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Order, receive, and verify all parts required for collision repairs
- Review repair estimates and confirm parts accuracy before ordering
- Source parts from OEM and aftermarket vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
- Inspect incoming parts for damage, accuracy, and completeness
- Coordinate with technicians and estimators regarding parts availability and backorders
- Manage returns, core credits, and warranty parts
- Maintain accurate inventory records and organized storage areas
- Track and communicate delivery timelines to ensure repair cycle time goals are met
- Work closely with insurance partners when required
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe parts department
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive parts (collision center experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle components and repair processes
- Familiarity with estimating systems (CCC, Mitchell, or Audatex preferred)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Occasional bending, reaching, and carrying
