Your Role in the Build:

• Process and manage in-house payroll across multiple entities
• Utilize Sage 300 (required) for payroll processing and reporting
• Process and maintain certified payroll and ensure compliance requirements are met
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements and federal/state payroll regulations
• Prepare and submit DIR reporting
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries
• Reconcile payroll liabilities and maintain payroll-related records
• Support payroll tax compliance including federal and state requirements
• Assist with accounts payable functions as needed
• Perform job costing activities and ensure payroll costs are allocated accurately
• Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, and adjustments
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to support audits and reporting requests
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality across all payroll processes

What You Bring to the Build:

• 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably within construction
• Strong experience with Sage 300 (required)
• Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage environments
• Experience with DIR reporting
• Understanding of payroll taxes, federal/state compliance, and payroll regulations
• Experience preparing journal entries and supporting payroll reconciliations
• Experience with job costing
• Exposure to accounts payable functions preferred
• Strong Excel skills including lookups, reporting, and data analysis
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
