Ideal Candidate Brings:

• Experienced Software Engineer: 7 years in developing enterprise-scale applications, ideally within the financial services industry.
• Trade Surveillance Expertise: Prior hands-on experience in designing, building, or maintaining trade surveillance systems or trade monitoring solutions, specifically for capital markets or banking institutions.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in object-oriented and/or functional programming, with expertise in Java and either Python or Scala. Able to design and consume APIs and handle system integrations.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Well-versed in international regulatory requirements such as MAD/MAR and understands compliance-driven business processes.
• Business Understanding: Solid grasp of capital markets, banking practices, trade lifecycle, and risk management related to trading activities.
• Agile Methodologies: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and contributing to large-scale, complex projects.
• Consultative Approach: Experienced in strategic collaboration and consulting, capable of reviewing and resolving multi-faceted challenges, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and contributing to high-impact initiatives.
• Senior Leadership: Able to engage with client personnel and teams on projects with broad impact, demonstrating leadership and mature judgment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Consulting on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
