TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics Senior Consultant

This role sits within the Finance Technology function and focuses on designing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise financial systems built on IBM Planning Analytics (TM1). The Senior Manager, Financial Systems will partner closely with Finance and Technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that support planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8 years of hands-on experience with TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics
• Extensive experience delivering finance-focused TM1 solutions, not just system administration
• Strong financial acumen and comfort working with senior finance stakeholders
• Proven experience across multiple industries and business models
• Ability to independently design end-to-end planning and reporting solutions
• Excellent communication skills — able to bridge finance and technical discussions
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
  
  

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting multiple finance functions (FP&A, Accounting, Audit, Controllership)
• Exposure to complex financial environments (multi-entity, global, multi-currency)
• Prior consulting experience or client-facing delivery roles
• Experience modernizing legacy TM1 models or redesigning finance processes
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting standards and executive dashboards
