A defense and national security technology company based in Hanover, Maryland is seeking a mid-to-staff level software engineer to join their team. This company solves complex, rapidly evolving challenges facing government and industry. They support defense and federal partners with secure, scalable technology solutions. This position is hybrid in Hanover.
In this position, you'll work on software that directly supports real-world defense missions, collaborating closely with government stakeholders. You'll be using TypeScript with React on the frontend and Node.js or NestJS on the backend. Engineers are expected to think end-to-end and play an active role in shaping technical solutions alongside their teammates.

Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to commute to Hanover, MD up to 3 days a week
- Expertise using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node and/or Nest
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, importantly PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- Previous defense and/or government contracting experience
- Active secret clearance
