Our client, a leader in convenience & retail, is hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join their team in Irving, TX!
**This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits**
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will support the organizations digital commerce and Delivery platforms, ensuring quality across web, mobile, API, and backend systems. You will partner closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to design and execute testing strategies, build automation frameworks, and validate critical customer-facing applications involving payments, transactions, and third-party integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Java-based automation tools
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and end-to-end testing scenarios across web, mobile, API, and backend systems
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Perform API testing, database validation, and regression testing to verify system functionality and data integrity
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and status meetings
- Validate iOS and Android mobile applications through manual and automated testing approaches
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 10 years of QA testing experience with a strong focus on automation
- 5 years of hands-on automation experience using Selenium, Java, TestNG, Appium, and/or Cucumber
- Strong experience with API testing and backend validation
- Advanced SQL and database querying skills
- Knowledge of AWS cloud environments
- Experience supporting eCommerce, retail, POS, payment, or delivery platforms preferred
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab and CI/CD processes
