Our client, a well-known theme park & entertainment organization is looking for a Scrum Master to join their team in Orlando, Florida!
***This is a hybrid 12-month contract to hire position. Candidates are expected to work onsite 4 days/week in Orlando**
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.
- Partner with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to coordinate efforts across teams and support Program Increment (PI) objectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to validate, prioritize, and communicate team objectives and backlog priorities.
- Guide, coach, and motivate Agile teams to improve productivity, delivery, and team effectiveness.
- Promote Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and values throughout the organization to maximize business value delivery.
- Serve as the team’s Scrum subject matter expert and continuously improve team processes and ways of working.
- Remove impediments and help teams achieve and maintain sustainable velocity.
- Lead teams in self-organization and ownership while supporting Agile framework adoption.
- Foster accountability, transparency, and consistency in team status reporting and communication.
- Ensure Agile project management tools (e.g., Rally) accurately reflect current project status and progress.
- Assess Agile and Scrum maturity levels and coach teams toward higher levels of performance and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of Agile/Scrum experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years serving as a Scrum Master.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification required.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile software development teams.
- Experience guiding teams in writing, refining, splitting, and mapping user stories.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of Agile engineering practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience supporting Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) environments.
- Proficiency with Agile estimation techniques, retrospective facilitation, and release planning.
- Strong organizational, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and business functions.
- Experience working with Release Train Engineers and Agile Release Trains within a SAFe environment.
- Ability to effectively leverage external vendors and organizational resources to achieve objectives.
