SAP Solution Lead (Techno-Functional) | Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid (Columbus, OH or Merrillville, IN)

Our client, a large enterprise organization undergoing a major SAP transformation initiative, is seeking an SAP Solution Lead on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This position is available in either Columbus, Ohio or Merrillville, Indiana, with a hybrid schedule (Monday and Friday remote; Tuesday through Thursday onsite).

This is an opportunity to play a critical role in a high-visibility SAP modernization program focused on customer service and Meter-to-Cash business processes. Contract Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire

Required Skills & Experience

• Currently authorized to work in the United States (US Citizen or Green Card holder)

• Minimum 7 years of SAP solution delivery experience including design, configuration, development, integration, and testing activities

• Experience delivering SAP solutions within complex enterprise and multi-vendor environments

• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA

• SAP BTP / Integration Suite experience

• Experience with SAP Service Cloud / C4C environments

• Experience with SAP integration technologies, APIs, and middleware platforms

• Understanding of SAP FICA and related utility customer processes

• Experience conducting fit-gap analysis and recommending standard versus customized SAP solutions

• Experience overseeing SAP testing activities including Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, Regression, and Performance Testing

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and enterprise integration patterns

• Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality tools

• Understanding of SAP security models and SAP GRC Access Control

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field

• SAP certifications (Associate, Professional, or related)

• SAP ABAP development experience

• SAP BASIS knowledge

• Utility or energy industry experience

• SAP Analytics Cloud experience

• SAP Business Data Cloud experience

• Experience integrating SAP with non-SAP platforms such as MuleSoft, IAM tools, and API management solutions

• Experience with enterprise data migration initiatives

• Knowledge of master data management practices

• Experience with AI-enabled SAP technologies such as Joule

• Familiarity with change management and user adoption initiatives

• Experience using Jira, qTest, or similar project and test management tools

Daily Responsibilities

• Perform techno-functional SAP solution reviews, design validation, and test result assessments

• Conduct fit-gap analysis and identify opportunities to leverage SAP best practices versus custom development

• Provide oversight of end-to-end SAP functional processes within Meter-to-Cash and Customer Service domains

• Review and guide SAP application design, configuration, customization, and integration activities

• Monitor SAP RICEFW deliverables and ensure alignment with enterprise requirements

• Drive and coordinate testing efforts including Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, Regression, and Performance Testing

• Collaborate with internal and third-party implementation teams to ensure timely SAP solution delivery

• Support deployment, cutover, hypercare, and knowledge transfer activities

• Ensure SAP security, role design, compliance controls, and governance standards are met

• Promote SAP DevSecOps best practices including CI/CD automation and quality controls

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful SAP integrations across the enterprise landscape

• Establish monitoring and support practices for SAP performance, error handling, and operational stability

• Participate in governance meetings, status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution activities
