Our client, a global entertainment company, is looking to hire a Manager, Retail Development. This is an initial contract position based in Minneapolis, MN (hybrid – 3 days onsite, moving to 5 days onsite in September).
This role sits within the Global Products & Experiences team and focuses on driving retail strategy and sales across key partners—primarily Target. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail, consumer products, or licensing, and be comfortable managing relationships, analyzing sales performance, and executing go-to-market strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day relationships with key retail partner (Target) and licensees to drive sell-in and sell-through
- Execute retail strategies across multiple product categories (Sporting Goods, Food & Beverage, Essentials & Beauty, etc.)
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities
- Support product launches and retail activations in partnership with internal teams and licensees
- Conduct store visits and retail audits to ensure merchandising standards and brand consistency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, category, and franchise teams
- Present insights and updates to internal stakeholders and client partners
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in retail, licensing, consumer products, or business development
- Experience working with retail partners (Target experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of retail environments and merchandising strategies
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities
- Analytical mindset with experience leveraging sales data to drive decisions
- Bachelor’s degree required
