Senior Network Engineer III / Enterprise Network Migration / Onsite / Danbury, CT & Putnam County

Our client is a leading organization supporting a large-scale healthcare technology transformation. Based out of the Danbury, CT and Putnam County area, they are looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer III on a permanent basis.

This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in a major multi-year network transformation across a large healthcare environment. The Senior Network Engineer will participate directly in network analysis, IP renumbering, configuration of routers, switches and firewalls, migration cutovers, testing and troubleshooting. This position is ideal for an experienced enterprise Network Engineer who enjoys complex infrastructure projects and wants to contribute to a highly visible transformation spanning multiple hospital locations.

Direct Hire: Permanent position supporting a 24 month transformation initiative with potential project activity extending into 2028.

Required Skills & Experience

• Senior-level enterprise network engineering experience
• Strong routing and switching knowledge
• Strong knowledge of firewall and network security technologies
• Hands-on router, switch and firewall configuration
• Enterprise network migration or infrastructure implementation experience
• Strong network troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting complex, multi-site network environments
• Ability to independently execute assigned network projects and activities
• Ability to work onsite five days per week
• Ability to travel between healthcare facilities as required

• IP renumbering or large-scale IP addressing migration experience
• Healthcare or hospital network experience
• Large enterprise network transformation experience
• Wireless networking experience
• CCNP or CCDP certification
• Experience with migration cutovers and post-implementation validation

Daily Responsibilities

• Analyze existing network environments in preparation for migration
• Support planning and execution of IP renumbering activities
• Implement new IP addressing schemes
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls and related network infrastructure
• Execute network migrations and cutovers
• Conduct post-migration testing and validation
• Troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues
• Provide Tier 3 network support
• Maintain network and project documentation
• Support operational/BAU networking activities when required
• Travel between healthcare facilities as project requirements dictate
