Position Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in a fast-paced, geographically distributed environment. This role will focus on network operations, troubleshooting, security, infrastructure reliability, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies, network security, firewalls, and production network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain network security policies across routers, firewalls, and other network infrastructure.
- Manage and support production networks, including data center, Internet backbone, and edge network environments.
- Monitor network availability and help ensure continuous operation of critical network services.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, capacity, and infrastructure issues.
- Identify network risks, gaps, and operational issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Perform proactive network testing to validate reliability, performance, and functionality.
- Investigate and remediate network capacity and performance-related issues.
- Apply security and regulatory requirements when designing and implementing network solutions.
- Provide technical resolution information and participate in impact analysis for network changes.
- Develop network maintenance and implementation plans for change management review and approval.
- Collaborate with Network Operations and Infrastructure teams on installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support process improvements and contribute to operational standards and best practices.
- Work with cross-functional Product Infrastructure teams to continuously improve network reliability and operational excellence.
- Mentor and share technical knowledge with other members of the network operations team.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of Network Engineering experience or equivalent combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting production or enterprise network environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, geographically distributed environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Network automation experience using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Experience with F5 / BIG-IP technologies.
- Experience with Fortinet / FortiGate firewalls.
- Experience with enterprise proxy technologies such as Zscaler, Blue Coat, or similar platforms.
- Experience implementing network security policies.
- Experience with data center networking.
- Active Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or related Cisco certification.
- Experience with network monitoring, capacity management, and performance optimization.
- Experience with change management and network implementation processes.
