Our enterprise streaming client is seeking a Consumer Insights Researcher to support audience insights across their broadcast and streaming portfolio. This role will drive research initiatives that uncover viewer behaviors, content preferences, platform usage, and trends that influence programming, product, and marketing decisions.
This position is fully onsite in NYC
10 Month W2 Contract - open to conversion/extension
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end consumer insights projects, including study design, survey development, vendor coordination, fieldwork, analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze first-party and syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, streaming metrics) to uncover audience trends and content performance insights.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for content, marketing, and product stakeholders.
- Develop dashboards, trackers, and audience segment profiles to support business decisions.
- Partner closely with internal teams including Content Strategy, Product, Marketing, and Analytics.
- Present insights to senior executives and cross-functional partners in a compelling and visual manner.
- Monitor competitive trends and evolving viewer behaviors across streaming, broadcast, and digital ecosystems.
- Support both strategic, long-term initiatives and quick-turn, ad hoc research asks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, or Audience Research, ideally within media, broadcasting, or streaming.
- Strong quantitative research experience; qualitative experience a plus.
- Hands-on experience with syndicated tools such as Nielsen, Comscore, MRI-Simmons, Ormax, Parrot, etc.
- Experience analyzing streaming platforms’ user data or viewership metrics.
- Proficiency with survey tools (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, etc.).
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate data into business strategies.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; data visualization experience preferred (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Bachelors Degree required.
