Lead Software Engineer- Boston, MA (Hybrid, Full- Time)

This Boston-based tech organization is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a high-impact team building large-scale revenue cycle and automation systems used across the healthcare industry. This is a full-time role working onsite 1 day/week, and the team works heavily with Java, Python, AWS, Spring Boot, relational databases, and modern microservice architectures. plus opportunities to work with GenAI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python
• Experience working with AWS services, containerization, and cloud-native deployments
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, RESTful APIs
• Experience with Spring Boot, Unix/Linux, and Kubernetes
• Prior experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
• Must be local to the Boston area (on-site 1 day/week)
  
  

Desired Skills & Experience

• 1 years of experience designing or implementing GenAI / LLM-based solutions
• Knowledge of scalable AI architectures, RAG, Agentic workflows, vector stores (FAISS, Pinecone)
• Experience integrating OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, etc.
• Perl experience is a bonus
• Experience building decoupled or distributed applications

• 70% Core backend development (Java, Python, Spring Boot, microservices)
• 20% Cloud deployment, orchestration, and DevOps work (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
• 10% GenAI/LLM integration work depending on project load

The Offer

• Base salary up to $200,000
• Bonus eligible (roughly 17%)
