Our client, A global leader in providing technology and tools for health, science, and environmental testing, is currently hiring an Information Technology Specialist in Tarrytown, New York!
*This is a 3 month W2 contract with benefits offered!*
As an Information Technology Specialist, you will implement, monitor, and provide technical support for customer laboratory IT environments. You would also be supporting the operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals, instrument-controlled software, core desktop applications, and imaging of computers.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, monitor, and provide technical support for customer laboratory IT environments
- Support of the operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals, instrument-controlled software, core desktop applications, and imaging of computers
- Implement Windows-based security measures, including user/group permissions, file/folder access controls, group policies, local security settings, and more
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience or an Associate Degree with 4 years of experience
- Experience in a lab environment
- Experience with technologies including Windows, Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing, and backup systems.
- Expertise with Active Directory
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with Splunk
- Experience with Linux
