Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with Fishbowl Inventory in production environments
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with Fishbowl plugin integrations
- Detailed knowledge of Fishbowl’s database structure, limitations, and reporting constraints
- Strong understanding of Fishbowl’s software and file structure, including plugin configuration and properties files
- Experience creating and maintaining custom reports despite non-ideal database architecture
- Expertise optimizing server environments for Fishbowl and QuickBooks stability and performance
- Strong knowledge of item mapping and data synchronization between Fishbowl and QuickBooks
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting integrations using the QuickBooks SDK and WebConnector
- General server administration skills, including performance tuning and system stability
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, part-time consulting role
- Prior consulting experience supporting short-term (30–60 day) engagements
- Experience working closely with accounting, operations, or IT teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to diagnose system limitations and recommend effective workarounds
- Comfort operating in environments with limited vendor documentation or support
