Job Description
The Associate Escrow Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and operational duties to support the escrow process. This role assists with opening orders, preparing documentation, coordinating closings, and ensuring accurate disbursement and follow-up of escrow transactions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Open escrow orders and input closing statement information into internal systems
- Prepare and review documents required for escrow transactions and closings
- Assist with complete disbursement and follow-up of escrow transactions
- Interpret various agreements as they relate to closing requirements
- Communicate requirements and transaction-related information to clients
- Receive and process mail and packages via FedEx, UPS, and USPS
- Stack and organize closing packages and related documentation
- Ship documents to collateral warehouses, lenders, and borrowers
- Perform tasking and data entry within internal systems
- Review and reconcile documents within closing packages
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all escrow documentation
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times
- Familiarity with company and/or client operating systems preferred
