Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager to lead, coach, and facilitate our cross-functional teams in delivering high-impact, quality products. The ideal candidate will champion Agile practices, remove roadblocks, manage team capacity and project timelines, and ensure successful delivery. Knowledge of Waterfall methodologies and Infrastructure projects is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
Scrum Facilitation
- Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.
- Guide the Product Owner and Scrum team in managing and prioritizing a healthy, actionable product backlog.
Sprint & Project Management
- Assist in sprint planning based on team capacity, identify and remove impediments, and help the team meet Sprint commitments.
- Track team velocity and maintain metrics (velocity charts, sprint burn up/down charts, release charts).
- Set up, maintain, and ensure ongoing updates of Scrum/Kanban boards in JIRA/ADS.
Scope & Delivery
- Manage project scope, prioritize work with the Product Owner/business, and negotiate deliverables.
- Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
- Develop and manage sprint calendars, release plans, and oversee project timelines and delivery.
- Review team allocations, project-related POs/invoices, and manage project financials.
Reporting & Communication
- Identify, track, escalate, and report on risks and issues.
- Create and publish weekly Clarity status reports; host Steering Committee meetings.
- Align expectations with team capacity, commitments, and deliverables.
- Keep RTE/Program Manager and Portfolio Lead informed of milestones and deliverables.
- Escalate issues as needed to remove team impediments.
People Leadership & Coaching
- Foster an environment where the team thrives; build strong, lasting relationships.
- Motivate the team and stakeholders; coach on Agile best practices.
- Lead continuous improvement via retrospectives, driving actionable outcomes.
Process, Tools, Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to ADUSA IT Agile processes.
- Contribute feedback to Agile practice improvements.
- Knowledge of Waterfall methodologies required.
- Experience with Infrastructure projects preferred.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master/Agile Project Manager in technology or infrastructure environments.
- Proficient with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of JIRA/ADS and Agile metrics.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
