Accounting Clerk

One of the nation’s fastest-growing biotechnology organizations is searching for aa skilled Accounting Clerk to join their dynamic finance team onsite in San Diego! You’ll play a crucial part in supporting financial operations and ensuring data accuracy across the business.

This exciting opportunity to contribute to a high performing accounting department begins as a 8-month W2 contract budgeted through the end of this year offering an onsite work schedule in San Diego, competitive benefits, and the strong potential to extend beyond the initial duration!

Responsibilities:

• Support the coordination and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records, including filing and data management
• Handle incoming and outgoing ACH, wire, and check transactions
• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of vendor and customer aging reports
• Reconcile various subsidiary ledgers to general ledger accounts
• Process weekly payments to vendors and assist with collecting outstanding receivables
• Assist with posting journal entries at month end
• Participate in additional projects and tasks as needed to support the team

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Post-secondary accounting credentials are preferred
• Experience with integrated ERP platforms
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to accuracy and dedication when handling high transaction volumes
• Proven written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Capacity to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
