This is not a traditional coordination-only PM role. The team is looking for a technically strong project leader who can work closely with engineering teams, translate technical concepts, and drive execution across ambiguous and fast-moving initiatives. You will act as a key connector between engineers, vendors, and state stakeholders, helping remove roadblocks, keep projects on track, and ensure successful delivery. Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience in Technical Project Management, Program Management, or Software Delivery roles
- Strong experience supporting software development, application modernization, or digital transformation initiatives
- Experience working directly with software engineering teams, architects, or technical leads
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software delivery lifecycles
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving business teams, technical stakeholders, vendors, and leadership
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve blockers, and drive projects forward in dynamic environments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with experience in client-facing or stakeholder-heavy environments
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
- Experience working with government agencies or public sector organizations
- Background in regulated environments such as financial services, healthcare, or enterprise consulting
- Experience supporting governance-heavy or compliance-driven project environments
- Exposure to cloud, API, integration, or application modernization efforts
- Agile, Scrum, PMP, or SAFe certifications
- Previous hands-on technical experience in software engineering, systems analysis, or implementation
