Senior Network Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Level 3-4 Network Operations Specialist to support and manage a large, complex networking environment. This is a hands-on role focused heavily on networking and firewalling, supporting both cloud-managed and on-prem infrastructure across multiple campus locations.
This position requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader IT team. Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of hands-on networking experience
- Extensive experience with cloud-managed and on-prem networking solutions
- Strong experience with switches, routers, and firewalls
- Experience with networking technologies including:
- Cisco, Juniper, Meraki
- Cloud platforms / VMware / Azure
- Strong experience with Network Access Control (NAC)
- Understanding of telephony networking
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new technologies and share knowledge
- Excellent communication skills; professional and detail-oriented
- Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle (daily travel between campus locations required)
- Strong experience with Fortinet firewalls
- Experience with DUO
- Experience supporting Google Workspace
- Experience with Microsoft Entra
- Experience supporting large enterprise or education-based environments
- Knowledge of educational data systems
- Relevant technical certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
- Manage and support switches, routers, and firewalls (Fortinet)
- Provide support for cloud-managed and on-prem networking environments
- Administer and maintain networking hardware and technologies including:
- Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Meraki
- VMware, Azure
- NAC, DUO, Google Workspace, Entra
- Assist with telephony network support
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve network performance and reliability
- Support multiple locations across the campus as needed
- Networking and firewall experience is non-negotiable
Salary : $60 - $65
