Description
Role Summary
As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, commission, and support of advanced automation systems through integration of controls, robotics, and mechanical systems utilizing Magswitch tools. This role requires hands-on engineering, strong troubleshooting skills, and direct customer engagement in demanding production environments.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, document, and support industrial control architectures using modern protocols including Rockwell Ethernet/IP and Siemens Profinet
- Program and support robotic systems including Kawasaki, Fanuc, KUKA, UR, and ABB
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues during system startup and production support
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver complete automation solutions
- Support customer installations, startups, and validations at domestic and international sites
- Travel 30–60% to support new customer projects, commissioning activities, and troubleshooting
Minimum Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Experience working onsite in manufacturing facility environments
- Strong interpersonal relationship building skills
- Deep knowledge of industrial control, architecture and networking
- Proven hands-on experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and network layout drawings
- Experience programming at least one major industrial robot platform; multi-brand experience preferred
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure
- Solid understanding of electro-mechanical systems
- Strong collaboration, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Three years of professional experience in manufacturing automation, robotics, or industrial equipment
- SolidWorks 3D CAD user experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
