Position: Warehouse Associate
Location: Windsor, CT 06095
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: 3 Months (Temporary Assignment)
Pay Rate: $19/hour

Job Overview

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position involving the movement and processing of various materials, including files, books, binders, and backup tapes. The role requires continuous physical activity such as lifting, carrying, bending, and standing throughout the shift.

Employees must be capable of lifting and carrying boxes weighing between 70–100 lbs without assistance and operating hand trucks and pallet jacks safely on concrete or uneven surfaces.

Essential Job Functions

• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods
• Lift, push, pull, and carry boxes independently, including up and down inclines, stairs, and over uneven surfaces
• Read and write in English to process orders and identify labels accurately
• Use a proprietary computer system and handheld scanner to track and locate boxes
• Load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets either at ground level or on carts
• Manually load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks
• Climb and balance on ladders when required

Job Requirements

• Ability to perform continuous physical labor safely and efficiently
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs without assistance on a regular basis
• Comfortable working on concrete and uneven surfaces
• Must be reliable and able to follow safety and operational procedures

Note

This is a temporary 3-month position and ideal for someone comfortable with heavy physical work and consistent movement throughout the day.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• Heavy lifting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
• Load & unload: 1 year (Preferred)
