As an Assistant Produce Manager, you’ll support the daily operations of the produce department, ensuring quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $28.85

What You’ll Do
- Lead daily operations: Assist with produce department workflows; ensure quality and freshness of products.
- Support & develop staff: Coordinate training, manage schedules, and provide leadership to team members.
- Ensure quality standards: Monitor product freshness, remove spoilage, and maintain cleanliness.
- Track performance: Review sales and labor metrics; implement strategies to meet department goals.
- Enhance merchandising: Create attractive produce displays and execute product placement strategies.
- Take initiative: Step into staff roles as needed, including opening, closing, and covering shifts.
What You Bring
Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience in retail produce and strong customer service techniques.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Verbal proficiency in English.
- Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, squat, bend, and lift/carry boxes up to 70 lbs.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including produce coolers and wet racks.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent bending, lifting, walking, and standing.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs consistently.
- Work in varying temperature zones (coolers, displays, dry racks).
Schedule Requirements
Flexible availability across various shifts and locations including weekends and evenings
