Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Safely handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or large laundry loads while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to protect guests and staff.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition and used properly for optimal results.
Skills
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while understanding the importance of safety data sheets (SDS) for all cleaning products used.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking during shifts.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices including sanitation protocols and hospitality standards.
