Performance Responsibilities
Perform efficiently and to the best of his/her ability the duties assigned in relation to preparation of food, serving of food, cleaning all areas of the kitchen, or other assigned duties in the time allotted.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Trustees' policy on evaluation of District personnel.

Qualifications
- High School or GED and one year related work experience.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Have no physical limitations. Ability to lift 25-30 pounds without assistance. Ability to perform moderate physical work efficiently with continuous standing. Ability to mop and sweep assigned area.
- Willingness to work in any situation when production kitchen is involved.
- Emotional stability and physical fitness to perform duties assigned at sufficient speed to carry out an efficient operation.
- Personal standards of appearance and dress corresponding with those required by food service.
- Interest in food preparation and service. Courtesy and tact in dealing people.
- Interest in children and school programs.
- Must furnish own transportation or method of transportation.

- Attend training meetings as required.
- Report to work at designated time, sign the time card, and remain on the job until dismissed by the manager.
- Notify the manager at the earliest possible time when unable to work.
- Maintain pleasant working relations with fellow employees by showing consideration for others, patience, respect, self-control, and other desirable character traits.
- Maintain desirable relations between school and community.
- Follow all policies of the School Board and instructions of the manager relating to safety measures, sanitation practices, personal standards, work techniques, and methods of performing duties.
- Perform duties involved in the safe preparation and handling of food, cleaning, and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, serving of food, cashiering, and record keeping.
- During cafeteria working hours, workers shall devote their time to cafeteria duties.
- Select food needed from storeroom between opening of the cafeteria and 8:30 a.m.
- All foods taken out of the storeroom are to be recorded by name and amount. All workers are to keep the storeroom, cooler, and freezer orderly and clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
