About the Role
As our Director of Golf & Grounds Maintenance, you’ll be the driving force behind the care, planning, and long-term vision of our golf courses and community grounds. This is a highly visible leadership role where your expertise, creativity, and strategic mindset will shape the future of Moss Creek.
You’ll lead a talented team, collaborate with department heads, and play a key role in maintaining the beauty, playability, and sustainability of our entire community.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee maintenance of both golf courses and all community grounds
- Lead and inspire a large, dedicated team including superintendents, mechanics, and grounds crews
- Develop and execute short- and long-term plans for course improvements and beautification
- Manage budgets, capital planning, and asset stewardship
- Ensure environmentally responsible practices, including pesticide and water management
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning and community initiatives
- Support tournaments, events, and overall golf operations
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years as a Head Golf Course Superintendent
- 5 years of leadership/management experience
- Degree in Turf Management or related field
- South Carolina pesticide license (required)
- Certified Golf Course Superintendent (preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on leader who inspires teams and builds a positive culture
- Passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental stewardship
