Duties
- Safely operate pesticide application equipment, including sprayers, hand tools, power tools to treat designated areas effectively.
- Assess pest problems and determine appropriate pesticide or herbicide treatments based on client needs and environmental considerations.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for handling, mixing, storing, and disposing of chemicals responsibly.
- Conduct site inspections to identify pest activity or damage and recommend integrated pest management solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of pesticide applications, including dates, locations, chemicals used, and application methods for compliance purposes.
- Drive company vehicles to various job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients to explain treatment plans, answer questions about pest control methods, and provide landscaping or lawn care recommendations when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales related to pest control, lawn care, farming, or landscaping is advantageous but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of pest control techniques, land management practices, agriculture principles, or farming operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving large vehicles is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures meticulously.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively.
- To either possess or have the ability to obtain a pesticide applicators license in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota
