Location: Petersburg, VA 23803
Position Status: 5-month contract to permanent
Pay Range: $25-$30 an hour during contract (OT pay)
Schedule: 7A - 5P; Monday through Friday (Fully onsite)
The Proposal Development Specialist supports the Estimating and Design team by preparing proposals in response to project specifications.

The Proposal Development Specialist supports the Estimating and Design team by preparing proposals in response to project specifications.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive project specifications from Project Estimators to determine proposal content
- Contact vendors to determine material costs
- Create proposals by entering project materials and costs into proposal template
- Track and provide scheduled updates on proposal progress
- Ensure proposals are completed on time and with accuracy
- Maintain files and reference material
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to research and synthesize information from various sources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
- Must have a great mindset, be self-driven, and willing to learn
- Knowledge of physical security or electrical equipment is a plus
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to see color to discern plans
- Must be able to work Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:00PM; additional work may be required
- Must possess and maintain a satisfactory background record
