Description Summary

The Student Aide – Student Activities Office will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Student Activities Office (SAO). The duties will include general office work, answering phone calls, filing, data-entry, assisting students, student leaders from clubs and organizations, faculty & staff and other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the SAO.
• Assist with general office support.
• Greet students and guests.
• Provide information on clubs and organizations.
• Enter data in excel spreadsheets, and keep files organized.
• Issue Student Identification cards to students.
• Develop flyers to promote events/activities.
• Help promote activities and events throughout the semester.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Applicant must be a current Morton College student carrying 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring. One credit in the Summer.
Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, equity, accountability, innovation, and excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bi-lingual: English and Spanish.
• Customer service experience and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Familiar with Social Media
• Dependability and positive attitude.
