We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Review and verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Gather necessary documentation from borrowers, including income verification, credit reports, and asset statements.
- Process loans in accordance with FNMA guidelines and TILA regulations.
- Collaborate with underwriters to resolve any issues or discrepancies in loan files.
- Maintain communication with borrowers throughout the processing phase to keep them informed of their application status.
- Prepare contracts and ensure all necessary disclosures are provided to borrowers.
- Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in mortgage processing or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems and underwriting processes is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial services terminology and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in basic math calculations relevant to mortgage processing.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
